ABOUT US
Company History and Evolution
Azimuth was established in 1988 to primarily serve the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. During the 1990s, the company broadened its expertise by effectively using aerial surveys for extensive highway schemes. Building on its success in infrastructure projects, the early 2000s saw major international assignments; followed by substantial retail development projects at home.
In recent years, Azimuth has achieved significant growth within the renewable energy, healthcare and education sectors.
Technological Advancements
In the early 2010s, Azimuth introduced terrestrial laser scanning techniques to provide Building Information Modelling (BIM) services, further expanding its capabilities by adding Utilities Mapping soon after. By 2018, the company was offering small-area photogrammetric surveys using aerial drones. In 2025, Azimuth acquired a high-accuracy long-range aerial LiDAR system, enabling the production of exceptionally detailed and accurate data for large area projects. Most recently, the company has invested in a survey-grade terrestrial SLAM scanner, allowing for rapid data acquisition and the generation of colorized point clouds and 360° panoramas, particularly suited to busy urban environments.
Commitment to Excellence
Throughout the company’s progression, Azimuth has remained dedicated to investing in its workforce and resources. This ongoing commitment has enabled the successful completion of more than 5,500 projects.
